Email change and spam issues May 17, 2009

Dear friends,

Thank you for your concern in alerting us that spam messages were sent to you from our email address today.  We arrived home from a movie this afternoon to find that someone had used our email address to send a spam message to all of our email contacts, and one recipient of that message sent a reply that was received by all the addresses also.

Please disregard both of these messages.  We did not send them.  For your protection, please do not download anything that may have been attached, or click on any of the links in the messages.

We have notified our email provider, Google, of the issue, but we feel that to be secure we must change our email address.  Please note our new official email address [SilverPailPottery@hotmail.com], and add it to your list of allowed email addresses.  All further contact from us will come through Hotmail.  We will no longer send messages from the Gmail account [Silver.Pail@gmail.com], so please disregard any further messages that may arrive in your inbox from this address, or block the address altogether.

We know what a nuisance junk mail can be, and because of that we have endeavored not to use it terribly often.  We apologize sincerely that despite our best intentions, this has managed to become an issue.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

Jill & Robin

Palmetto Hands May 3, 2008
We're proud to share that we've won an award in the South Carolina Palmetto Hands fine craft exhibition!  Palmetto Hands is the state's only fine craft competition and exhibition, so it was a great opportunity for us to see what we're made of.  You can see our entry, "Six-Pack," at the exhibition from May 3-10 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center Complex.

New friends April 2008
You can now find our pillow vases on the tables at Eileen's restaurant in Summerville.  We send a big thanks to the owners for helping out local artists.  Oh, and the food's pretty amazing too!

Our other new Summerville friends are over at  D.R.E.A.M.  With our membership we are now featured on their website.  They'll also be working with Art Central to put on Art Walks every third Thursday through the summer down on Short Central.  Our first one was great, and we're looking forward to more.  Check out our calendar to see when we'll be there!

Bigger and better April 2008
We've been hard at work raising the bar on the website.  We hope everyone will appreciate the new layouts, graphics, and better photographs of work.  There are finally pictures of glaze tiles, so you'll know what we're talking about when we say "Citron."  You'll also find some work that's new this spring.

The crowning glory of these efforts is the new shopping cart  feature.  Now you can buy at the click of a button, without all the bother of having to call and talk to us (we know you'll miss that).

We continue to welcome your comments about how we can make it better.  Don't hesitate to tell us something doesn't work for you--it means we get the chance make things even better.

Thanks to all those who have helped us in the past.  Your input has been greatly appreciated.
