All work is functional unless otherwise marked. Functional work is very durable, and is food-, dishwasher-, and microwave-safe. Bakeware is oven-safe to 350°. To ensure continued durability and guard against cracking: ▪ Avoid temperature shocks--cold dishes should not be put into hot ovens, and hot dishes should not be put into cold water or refrigerators. ▪ Bowls and casseroles should be at least half-full when baked or microwaved. ▪ Lids should not be used during cooking. ▪ Do not use on stoves or over open flame. Pillow Vases Pillow vases are easily cleaned by rinsing with water or diluted bleach, and allowing to dry upside-down (i.e. in a dish drain) overnight. They do not contain metal "frogs." Delicate surfaces If marked "delicate surface," work is still food-safe, but the outer surface makes it unsuitable for the microwave or dishwasher, and should be handled with care and hand-washed. Non-functional work A mark of "non-functional" indicates the piece is intended as decoration only, and is not food-safe and/or is not intended to hold liquid. Non-functional pieces may be hand washed with mild soap. |
