Robin started out as the business manager and bookkeeper, but quickly became a partner in grime, and began working with the clay as well.

Together we work out of our studio, which--until recently--was the family garage.  We welcome visitors to our new home studio; give us a call to plan a visit.  Click here for hours and directions.

Visitors to the Charleston, SC area can find our work at various local craft shows, at Carolina Clay Gallery, and at our home studio in Summerville, SC. Visit our Links page for all our exhibitors, from Michigan to Florida.

At Silver Pail Pottery, most of our work begins with the thought, "I wish I had..."  Just about everything we make is something we would, and often do, use at home ourselves.

Having handmade things, for us, is like having little pieces of art that can be picked up and used all day long, and it can make the simplest parts of each day just a little more interesting.  It can be very powerful, too, if you let it; sometimes the coffee cup or cereal bowl you choose in the morning can set the mood for your entire day.
